Quorum is Hiring an Expansion Business Development Representative Near Washington, DC

Based in Washington, D.C., Quorum is a fast-growing software company and is the leading provider of workflow software and information services for government affairs professionals across the corporations, non-profits, associations, and governmental end-markets. Quorum serves over 2,000 customers globally including over 50% of the Fortune 100, and has over 350 team members across the globe. The company recently acquired Capitol Canary, a market leader in grassroots advocacy software.

As an Expansion Business Development Representative, you will be responsible for building your own lead list and identifying the best way to get into an account (or a team). You will also prioritize which people are best to move the sales conversation forward.

What You’ll Do

  • First Week: You’ll learn the ins and outs of Quorum products and begin to familiarize yourself with common use cases. You’ll receive training on sales skills that will set you up for success.
  • First Month: You’ll learn how to research, identify, and contact prospects. You will learn how to leverage communication and research tools such as SalesLoft, ZoomInfo, Linkedin Sales Navigator, and Salesforce to design and execute lead generation campaigns via cold calling, email, and social media. You will schedule sales meetings with high-level decision makers in the public affairs industry.
  • First Six Months: You will think creatively to develop strategies around outreach and generating interest from prospects who need Quorum. You’ll receive training and professional development to help you build the foundation for your career in business-to-business software sales.
  • First Year: You will own execution for company-wide objectives to advance Quorum as an industry leader. You will become an expert on Quorum’s products, the public affairs and government relations industry, and the competitive landscape.

About You

  • You have at least 8 (eight) months of experience in a BDR/SDR role.
  • You have a proven track record of success in quota attainment.
  • You can work backwards from a numeric goal and create a plan for how to succeed.
  • You have a strong attention to detail – quality over quantity, and data cleanliness is a high priority.
  • You are adaptable and you are a self starter. You should be prepared to contribute to the outreach strategy & think about new ways we can book enterprise / HOO meetings. The Emerging Markets team can contribute to strategic conversations but you will be owning the TOFU execution and should be prepared to contribute to that plan.
  • You are articulate – you will be talking to current users about what Quorum can do for them. Additional product knowledge and advanced value props will be expected.
  • You must know how to use Salesforce and other systems like Sales Navigator well.
  • You have the ability to decipher org charts, existing notes on the client, news on the org, etc. to help inform their approach to each client/prospect.
  • You have an understanding of our product and market.
  • You have a hunger to succeed and exceed expectations.

Compensation Structure

  • On Target Earnings (OTE): OTE is calculated based uponopportunities scheduled. OTE for this role is $24,000
  • Base Salary: $56,000.00 annually
