Job Summary:
The Pittsburgh Field Club is seeking proactive and detail-oriented Server Assistants to support our dining team in providing exceptional service to our members and guests. As a Server Assistant, you will work closely with servers and kitchen staff to ensure a smooth and efficient dining experience. Your responsibilities will include assisting with table setup, delivering food and beverages, clearing tables, and providing general support to enhance the overall guest experience.
Responsibilities:
- Assist servers in setting up dining areas before service, including arranging tables, chairs, and table settings
- Refill water glasses, breadbaskets, and other items as needed throughout the meal service.
- Assist servers in delivering food and beverages to tables in a timely and efficient manner.
- Assist in clearing tables of used dishes, utensils, and glassware promptly and efficiently.
- Communicate effectively with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth coordination of service.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization in the dining area, including wiping down tables and chairs, and sweeping floors.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a safe and clean environment for guests and staff.
Requirements
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting preferred, but not required.
- Strong communication skills and a friendly, customer-focused attitude.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to anticipating and meeting guest needs.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be 16 years or older.
