Job Overview:
Atria's Pleasant Hills is seeking a Server Assistant to join our team and provide exceptional service to our guests. As a Server Assistant, you will work closely with the waitstaff to ensure a smooth and enjoyable dining experience for our customers. This is a vital role in our restaurant, as you will be responsible for assisting with various tasks to support the efficient operation of the dining area.
Responsibilities:
- Assist waitstaff with setting up tables and preparing the dining area for service
- Assist in taking food and drink orders from guests
- Deliver food and beverages to tables in a timely manner
- Clear tables and reset them for the next guests
- Refill water glasses and assist with drink refills as needed
- Assist with running food orders from the kitchen to the appropriate tables
- Collaborate with the waitstaff to ensure excellent customer service at all times
- Help maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining area
Experience:
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of culinary terms and food safety practices is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and positive attitude
- Ability to handle food safely and follow proper food handling procedures
- Basic understanding of food preparation techniques is beneficial
- Experience working in banquets or hospitality industry is a plus
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team
