PAC NYC is Hiring an Audience Development and Group Sales Manager Near New York, NY

The role:

PAC NYC’s Audience Development and Group Sales Manager is responsible for engaging and growing our diverse audience base and overseeing group ticket sales. The Manager will identify, analyze and report on audience behavior and ticket sales trends and will make strategic recommendations on ways in which we can grow engagement and revenue. The Manager will also prospect for, solicit, and sell group visits, ensuring a seamless experience for visitors and engaging in follow-up to secure repeat business. As a key member of our Marketing team, this person will work cross-functionally across the organization to ensure that PAC NYC audiences are diverse, engaged and receive best-in-class experience.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Track, analyze and report on audience data, identifying metrics that drive audience and ticket sales behavior.
  • Present and implement data-led strategies that are based on an understanding of PAC NYC’s programming and audience, to support and diversify audience growth and engagement.
  • Make strategic recommendations for improvements to our Marketing and Audience Services teams regarding membership strategies.
  • Working closely with the Civic Alliances team, propose ways in which we can reach diverse communities, both locally and nationally, and excite them around our programming and building.
  • Working closely with our internal Development team, maintain a strong understanding of our membership base, analyze their engagement with PAC NYC and identify ways in which to further their connection to the organization.
  • Oversee outreach to strategically identified communities to engage previously untapped markets.
  • Create and implement a group sales strategy with the goal of securing group ticket sales from targeted constituencies.
  • Solicit and monitor leads for Group Sales, engaging new and returning audience groups.
  • Working with the Director of Marketing and Communications, assist in the formulation and implementation of proactive Group Sales marketing campaigns.
  • Track and report on Group Sales leads, inquiries and sales revenue through Spektrix, and provide ongoing status reports, as required.
  • Develop targeted group outreach for specific events and programs.
  • Coordinate and process all phases of group contracts; book orders, secure deposits and payments for group ticket sales. Follow up with group sales customers for feedback.
  • Collaborate with the Artistic and Marketing teams on crafting the group visitor experience, including assisting with panel and post-show discussions.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with the 9/11 Visitor Services team and other local travel or arts based third party groups to maximize cooperative ticket sales opportunities.
  • May be assigned other related duties as requested.

This position will remain open until a diverse and qualified pool of finalists has been identified.

What it takes to be successful in the role:

  • 5 years of experience in an audience development role in a cultural / arts organization.
  • Strong data analytics and reporting skills, with experience working in complex CRM environments.
  • Proven experience growing new and diverse audiences.
  • A strong relationship builder with deep connections across the New York cultural landscape.
  • Proven success working in a sales driven role.
  • Ability to adapt in a dynamic work environment, learn quickly, solve problems and make decisions.
  • Comfortable working across all levels of the organization with diplomacy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively influence others.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint required; experience with database tools and knowledge of internet technology (preferred).

Compensation and benefits

Annual salary will range between $65,000 - $75,000 plus full benefits. Our benefits package include health, dental, vision, life, accidental death and dismemberment and disability benefits, and self-insured dental, vision and health care and dependent day care flexible spending accounts. Full time employees are eligible for paid time off and 401K enrollment with employer match.
