Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Assistant to provide support and assistance to individuals in need. As a Personal Assistant, you will play a crucial role in improving the quality of life for those you care for. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on someone's life.
Duties:
- Provide personal care and assistance to individuals, including but not limited to bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Administer medications following prescribed guidelines
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed
- Support individuals with daily living activities (ADLs) such as mobility, transferring, and ambulation
- Create a safe and comfortable environment for individuals
- Assist with household tasks such as light housekeeping and laundry
- Accompany individuals to appointments and outings
- Implement therapeutic activities and engage in social interactions
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in caregiving or related field is preferred
- Knowledge of first aid and medication administration systems
- Familiarity with working with people with autism or other developmental disabilities is a plus
- Understanding of assisted living and hospice care principles is beneficial
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with individuals and their families
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
