The role is responsible for direct supervision of accounts payable team, managing the account payable process, including vendor relations, disbursements, as well as managing corporate expense programs and other various reporting and analysis.This leader will be instrumental in ensuring team metrics are established and met as well as implementing process improvements.This role will also need to collaborate with internal departments and external vendors to resolve issues affecting the accurate and timely processing of invoices.
Here's What You'll Get to Do

• Lead, guide, and support team of accounts payable specialists
• Hire, train, develop and coach staff to ensure team members' professional growth, as well as the success of the organization
• Develop and improve current policies and procedures to ensure the team is motivated, fully utilized, and maintaining efficiencies and productivity
• Manage full cycle accounts payable processes supporting multiple locations
• Produce and analyze management reporting related to accounts payable metrics to achieve department objectives
• Build and maintain relationships with internal contacts that impact accounts payable processes
• Build and maintain relationships with external vendors to ensure accurate records
• Monitor and enforce internal controls
• Coordinate with accounting department on month end requirements to ensure accuracy of financial statements
• Assess current accounts payable procedures, offering recommendations for improvement and implementing new processes

Here's What We're Looking For

• 5 years of related experience, including in a supervisory/management role
• Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with staff, accountants, vendors, and upper management
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills required for reporting and analysis
• Must have large ERP AP system experience, as well as 1099 filing experience
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Solid time management and organizational skills
• Attention to detail and a strong work ethic
• Ability to work in Dallas office three times per week
