POSITION TITLE: Adolescent Program Manager
REPORTS TO (TITLE): Director of Social Services
DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:
Assists the Director of Social Services with oversight in treatment program planning, case management, legal and hearing coordination, and evaluation of the effectiveness of clinical services and discharge planning for Adolescent Inpatient social services employees.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Develop comprehensive internal child, adolescent, and young adult programming, services, and events. This includes, but is not limited to: group curriculum, milieu management, behavior modification strategies, reinforcement schedules, etc.
· Manages clinical and case management staff workload, prioritizing work assignments, evaluating performance, interpreting and enforcing policies and procedures, resolving issues and working with HR to administer disciplinary action when required.
· Attends treatment team daily to address any difficult cases and barriers to treatment that arise. Support staff with radical problem-solving for safest treatment outcomes in the best interest of the patient.
· Supports with safety planning and facilitates behavior planning for adolescents and their families who need structured support both in the hospital setting as well as aftercare in the home setting.
· Interview, hire, and train new program and clinical staff and orient them towards their required duties.
· Provide clinical supervision, mentorship and consultation to licensed, pre-licensed and adolescent inpatient support staff as needed.
· Maintain a creative, team-building, cooperative approach to job performance and seek to bring a constructive, problem-solving orientation to all tasks. Model and reinforce a high-performing culture where staff can do their best work.
· Provides Clinical Supervision for Associate-level clinicians, Licensed Therapist will schedule weekly supervision meetings (individual, triadic, or group) and follow CA BBS Clinical Supervision Guidelines.
· Provides Clinical Supervision for Associate-level clinicians, Licensed Therapist will review, audit, and monitor clinical documentation (assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, etc.) and will sign off on documents as the designated licensed supervisor.
· Provides Clinical Supervision for Associate-level clinicians, Licensed Therapist will provide weekly communication and updates to Director of Social Services and/or Director of Clinical Services regarding individual professional development and learning objectives for Associate-level clinicians as it pertains to their scope of practice and job expectations.
· Collaboratively works with Adult Program Manager to address administrative needs and ensures Social Services Department is functioning cohesively.
· Consult on and accept difficult cases when necessary.
· Provide group facilitation training to adolescent clinicians, therapists, and counselors and facilitate process and psychoeducational groups to cover any absences as needed.
· Participates in weekly meetings with Director of Social Services to provide program updates.
· Support with facilitating monthly all-staff meetings to ensure staff and program adherence to policy, procedure, and regulations with DSS.
· Maintain caseload of inpatient clients to include assessments, treatment plans, individual, group, and family therapy.
· Maintains effective working and professional relationships and communications with internal, external customers and across multi-disciplinary teams.
· Ability to clearly summarize pertinent clinical information via written correspondence and medical record documentation in a timely manner.
· Upholds the Organization's ethics and customer service standards.
· Perform related duties as assigned.
