Project Manager- LV Cabling, Fire Alarm and Security

Pay Range - $65k - $80k (salary)

Job Location – Asheville, North Carolina / Simpsonville, South Carolina

Reports To

The Project Manager will report to the General Manager

Job Overview

Project Manager role involves overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of projects related to low voltage cabling systems. Including data, voice, audio, video, fire alarm, security, and other low-voltage systems. The Project Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the successful implementation of these projects.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Project Planning / Pre-Construction
  • Develop comprehensive project plans outlining tasks, timelines, and resource requirements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Company leadership
    • Assemble and lead a project team, ensuring each team member understands their roles and responsibilities.
    • Foster a collaborative and positive team environment to enhance productivity.
    • Make recommendations for improvements within the company.
    • Assist with Employee reviews and recommendations for improvement.
    • Participate in the overall NNS leadership team.
    • Engage throughout the project lifecycle to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Budget Management
  • Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently.
  • Monitor project expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
  • Client Interaction
  • Act as the primary point of contact between the project team and clients.
  • Communicate regularly with clients to understand their requirements, address concerns, and provide project updates.
  • Risk Management
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
  • Proactively address issues as they arise, adapting plans to minimize disruptions.
  • Quality Assurance
  • Ensure that all low voltage installations meet industry standards and regulations.
  • Implement quality control measures to guarantee the reliability and functionality of each system.
  • Timeline Management
  • Monitor project timelines and milestones, making adjustments as necessary to keep the project on schedule.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Documentation
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including progress reports, change orders, and client approvals.
  • Provide detailed documentation for as-built drawings and system configurations.
  • Compliance
  • Stay informed about relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations.
  • Ensure that all aspects of the project comply with local, state, and federal requirements.
  • Continuous Improvement
  • Conduct post-project evaluations to identify areas for improvement.
  • Implement lessons learned to enhance future project planning and execution.

Qualifications

  • This individual shall have proven experience in LV cabling project management.
  • RCDD, NICET or equivalent certifications.
  • Five or more years of experience in the low voltage industry and three or more years of experience in management.
  • SP/LV or Electrical License is a plus.
