About the Role

Niche is looking to hire our first Learning and Development Specialist to work alongside our People and Talent team. This role will report directly to our Chief People Officer. As a part of our People team, you will work with cross functional teams to create, implement and scale training programs that help employees and managers increase engagement and performance. The right candidate knows how to create and deliver engaging, bold and creative curriculum that weaves in Niche's values and L&D best practices.

What You Will Do

During the 1st Month:

  • Work with department leadership to assess training needs, select appropriate training programs and delivery methods, and monitor training programs to ensure they are current and effective.
  • Work with functional leaders to assess needs around career and learning paths for all levels of the organization
  • Evaluate and assess training vendors and current tech stack for organizational wide training program roll out.

Within 3 Months:

  • Select and/or develop materials and appropriate delivery methods (e.g., instructor led, web demos, video conferences, workshops) for programs on a variety of topics (e.g., new employee orientation, job skills training, continuous education, leadership training, performance management)
  • Create a robust Manager onboarding and learning handbook that sets our managers up for success
  • Lead implementation for future organizational wide cross functional and communication focused training program

Within 6 Months:

  • Measure and report out on training programs and impact (ROI)
  • Organize and update content on our future self service portal that will allow employees and managers to quickly find useful content to help with understanding and navigating their employee and manager experience

What We Are Looking For

  • 5-6 years of experience preferred
  • Bachelors or Master's degree in Instructional Design or Organizational Development ( ATD certificates a plus)
  • Experience with training managers and Executive leaders
  • Strong background in Instructional Design and Delivery
  • Expertise in facilitating learning sessions both in person and virtually
  • Ability to build content that is creative and engaging
  • Grounded in adult learning principles
  • Proven thought partner for how to increase employee engagement and performance through learning
  • Strong writing and communication skills
