**Agency Customer Service Representative**

Location Department Position Reports To Location: Raleigh, NC Department: Marketing/Agency Position Reports To: Agency Director ** General Definition**

An Agency CSR provides assistance to the Agency Force and occasionally Farm Bureau members for property and casualty business brokered to companies outside of NC Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance Company.

** Principal Duties and Responsibilities:**

* Answer phone calls from Agency Force regarding quotes and questions on policies.

* Quote and Bind coverage for various lines of business.

* Process applications for new business and renewals.

* Account invoicing for new business, additional premiums and renewals.

* Data entry to maintain a client base in our Agency Management System (AFW).

* Distribute policies and various forms that are received during the policy period.

* Scanning all work into the docstar imaging system and filing to appropriate client on AFW.

* Issue certificates of insurance as needed.

* Forwarding claim notices to appropriate companies after scanning and documenting AFW.

* Send renewal information to agents and maintain policy status.

* Cancel or reinstate policies (including invoices) as needed to maintain client policy status.

* Verify membership status.

** Special Training, Education, Knowledge and Skills Required:**

* Agents property & casualty license will be required.

* Must have very good oral and written communication skills.

* Strong organization skills.

* Strong work ethic with the ability to deliver high quality results in a time-sensitive environment, as well as the ability to take initiative in a professional manner.

* Pleasant and outgoing personality.

* Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

* Demonstrated working knowledge of the Microsoft Office applications including, but not limited to, Word, Outlook, Excel, and Internet Explorer.

* Strong teamwork and collaborative skills, including excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work independently and with others.

* Complete understanding or willingness to learn policies, procedures, principles, concepts, practices, and standards as they pertain to the Agency.
