Sales and Business Development Executive

NAV Fund Administration Group is seeking a Director of Sales and Business Development to drive significant growth of our unique and fast-growing Fund Administration business.

The Opportunity:If you are reading this, we could guess two things about you: you are an experienced sales professional who thrives on building relationships for consultative sales and creating new business development. On a Given Day, You Will:

  • Develop new business for the Company through lead generation, qualification, presentation, demonstration of web portal and proprietary systems, proposal, negotiate service agreements and manage sales processes to successful closure.
  • Develop and execute sales by utilizing direct marketing strategies, sales force building, sales process management and marketing support materials.
  • Cultivate strong working relationships with client contacts. Add value with a consultative approach, anticipate client needs and viable solutions, and partner with the client for implementation of next steps, including cross-selling of services to existing clients.
  • Create and explore new business opportunities for Hedge Funds/ Real Assets/ Private Equity/ Crypto Currencies services, new clients, new services, new markets and geographies, and maintain a network of intermediary relationships.
  • Identify opportunities for growth and expansion, and develop and execute plans to achieve those goals.
  • Spread awareness of the Company’s brand as a leading global provider of fund administration services to funds and investment management industry.
  • Build the Company’s market awareness via attendance at industry conferences and meetings, including proactive establishment of marketing and meeting prospective clients and networking at events.

  • Maintain and increase knowledge of industry trends and their potential impact on the Company and clients.

Here Is How You Can Stand Out:

  • Ensure the Company is able to respond to technical and product developments by building and maintaining key strategic relationships with stakeholders, clients, regulatory bodies and other professional intermediaries and contacts.
  • Act as liaison between other business lines and their business development activities.

Required Qualifications:

  • 7 years of experience in financial services sales; preferably real assets, private equity or alternative asset management experience, with an understanding of fund administration and/or private investment operations.
  • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Marketing or related major.
  • A strong network within financial services, including knowledge of Hedge Funds/Real Assets/Private Equity, with relationships that can be brought to NAV Fund Administration Group.
  • Experience in lead generation including prospecting and hunting for new clients.
  • Demonstrated experience in consultative sales, where the ability to listen to clients and understand what they really need is more important than a hard sell.
  • Experience preparing and leading client presentations.
  • Excellent communication and negotiating skills with demonstrated experience closing complex deals.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Staying current on industry trends and developments and provide guidance and support to the team as necessary to respond to and leverage industry changes.
  • Significant degree of self-motivation, direction and integrity.

Location and Travel:

  • We are hiring for this role in New York City, Chicago, and/or San Francisco.
  • This position will require travel for client, company, and industry events; up 30% or as needed.
