Buyer Responsibilities:Evaluate quality, price, reliability, technical support, and availability of goods and servicesManage and negotiate vendor contractsOversee invoicing and billingLocate, evaluate and select vendorsEnsure the Company's procurement rules and regulationsThis position is also responsible for the timely planning and scheduling of receipt and inventory control of the products and services as appropriately concluded with the requisitioner.Buyer Requirements:2-3 years experience with purchasing and material control, Bachelor's degree preferredUnderstanding of basic Cost Accounting concepts as they pertain the inventory evaluationExperience locating, evaluating, and expediting vendorsProfessional communication skills (verbal and written)Extremely organized and detail orientedSelf-directed and able to work in a fast-paced environmentStrong computer skills, with experience using Microsoft Office applications and Database Systems
