**Job Description**

**Job Title : BUYER**

**Essential job functions:**

* Source vendors of material, equipment or suppliers and interview them in order to determine product availability and terms of sales

* Prepare and process purchase orders for supplies and equipment

* Review purchase order claims for conformance to company policy

* Resolve any invoices issues with the suppliers

* Resolve any delivery/material issues with the suppliers

* Ensure on time delivery from all suppliers

**Marginal job functions :**

* Direct and coordinate activities of buying and distributing material, equipment, machinery, and supplies

* Administer on-line purchasing systems

* Additional duties as assigned

**Knowledge, skills and abilities:**

* Knowledge of raw materials, purchased components, production processes, quality control, costs and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods

* Ability to communicate with supervisors, peers and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail or in person

* Ability to meet or exceed deadlines

**Physical Demands:**

**Hours: Mon-Fri 7:00 a.m 4:00 p.m. Week: 40 Hours Lunch: 1 hour**

(Some overtime may be required with prior approval by management.)

**Sitting: 90%**

**Standing & Walking: 10%**
