Job Summary/ Key Responsibilities:
Records in the MSC systems the customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable, for Wire transfers. •Prepares, posts, verifies, and records customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable. •Replies to customers’ questions regarding the payments they made and makes corrections in the MSC systems if necessary. •Creates reports regarding the status of customer accounts as requested. •Researches the customer discrepancies and past-due amounts with the assistance of the Collections Manager and other staff. •Collaborates with the Collections Manager to reconcile accounts receivable on a periodic basis. •Maintains and updates customer files.
·Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience ·Prior experience in supply chain, transportation, shipping, logistics, freight forwarding, customer service, call center, administrative or clerical jobs ·English: advanced ·Strong attention to details ·Organized, efficient, and able to manage time effectively ·Strong customer service mindset, focused, and responsive ·Ability to work under tight deadlines ·Great team player ·Knowledge of MS Excel with the ability to learn new software Physical Demands ·Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer ·Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time Work Authorization Affirmative Action / EEO statement Mediterranean Shipping Company (USA) Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
