Summary The MiTek Technical Development Manager (TDM) role will primarily be focused on onboarding new customers, expanding product offerings with existing customers and improving system efficiency and effectiveness. While reporting to the Director, Technical Development Group – the TDM role will work across all operational segments; Fabricators / Component Manufacturers, Residential Home Builders, Home Builder Suppliers and Commercial. A strong, robust and effective communication mandate is a key component of the role – maintaining a constant feedback loop with customers during their initial on-boarding program of up to three months; and then on-going as the relationship continues to expand. The TDM’s knowledge of western construction methodologies will ensure that the quality and experience of the initial on-boarding will build a strong and robust customer relationship that exists through a deep understanding and knowledge of their requirements. They will assist in providing solutions through our diverse range of product offerings and improve on-boarding time frames. Additionally, the role will also have a positive impact on both customer and employee experience as we continue to set staff up to succeed with the supply of sufficient training. Job Responsibilities & Requirements Roles & Responsibilities Facilitate the implementation process for new accounts where required. Help solve technical problems and ensure smooth adoption of our products and services. Understand the goals & objectives of new customers and translate those needs appropriately through the implementation and onboarding process Train staff in software platform basics and provide progressive guidance throughout the implementation process. Assist with customer interactions through the life span of the customer relationship. Work closely with sales teams to answer questions and help with client acquisition through the communication of technical queries and concerns Apply critical thinking skills to identify internal errors and troubleshoot customer communication and process issues. Partner with internal teams to ensure customer needs are being met, coordinating with operations team, and providing technical support Help introduce customers to the company’s culture and operations Improve technical capabilities relating to software utilization by being responsive to software changes. Support managements business development initiatives by building internal capabilities to meet market demand. Support quality control systems. Support team managers / team leaders with technical knowledge Support the training and up-skilling for staff involved in any software upgrade or new process implementation. Assist with the ongoing continuous development of staff to increase their capabilities Assist with the resolution of customer cases as required Planning and overseeing new market opportunities – software building codes, building practices Conduct research into new markets Educate customers and ensure best practices are in place to enhance expectations Act as a bridge between customer’s expectations and company’s objectives Assist with solving technical glitches during implementation Other reasonable duties as requested MiTek is an E-Verify and Drug and Tobacco-Free Workplace.
