Elite Development, a joint venture between J. H. Berra Construction Company and McBride Homes, is one of the largest real estate developers in the St. Louis, MO area. Each year Elite Development is responsible for developing over 1,000 homesites for the top homebuilders in the area. The strong connection of Elite Development with J. H. Elite Development is creating a new position within the growing organization to oversee and manage all facets of estimating and purchasing. This will enhance our ability to provide high-quality land development services to our clients while supporting the in-house project managers.

Essential responsibilities:

• Create design plans and lead specification production on range of projects including site layouts, grading and drainage, paving, site utilities and other civil engineering responsibilities
• Perform calculations, review specifications, and permitting applications
• Resolve design conflicts; perform accountability review
• Maintain project documentation
• Perform site visits to verify field conditions and monitor construction
• Prepare reports based on data collected
• Correspond with in-house land development team, consultants, and public agencies as necessary
• Prepare project cost estimates, bid documents, and specifications for projects
• Assist in developing project scopes and schedules
• Perform quantity takeoffs and quality control reviews
• Attend meetings and prepare meeting minutes
• Ability to successfully manage a team

Education and Experience

Minimum:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent strongly preferred
• 5 years or progressively responsible experience
• Excellent time management skills, organizational and communication ability
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, CAD software, and Planswift

Preferred:

• 10 years of progressively experience
• Professional Engineer's License

Elite Development offers a competitive salary ($90,000-$150,000/yr. depending upon qualifications and experience) and an annual discretionary bonus program.
