Accounting Manager - Downtown

We are in search of an experienced Accounting Manager. This position supervises accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll, and is responsible for month-end closing. The Accounting Manager produces financial statements and other financial reports and is responsible for internal control.

Responsibilities and Duties

· Supervise, train, and review the work accounting employees in the areas of accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll and month-end closing; provide leadership and support

· Ensure timely completion of all accounting duties/reporting

· Reconcile balance sheet accounts

· Responsible for month-end and year-end close

· Prepare financial statements and other reports on a timely basis

· Collect, analyze and summarize financial information and trends; analyze variances

· Maintain fixed assets records

· Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and timely filing of related tax returns

· Administer accounting policies and internal controls in accordance with GAAP

· Develop budgets and related schedules

· Keep abreast of accounting and tax trends; attend educational seminars/webinars

· Coordinate annual external audit and preparation of audited consolidated financial statements and corporate tax returns

Education, Experience, and other Requirements

· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or related field

· 5 years of accounting experience including financial statement preparation, budgeting, and tax returns

· 3 years supervising accounting personnel

· Ability to work independently under deadlines

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

· Sound analytical and organizational skills

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills

· Confidentiality and ethical conduct required

· Ability to exercise initiative and sound judgment
