Kadean Construction is Hiring an Accounting Coordinator Near St. Louis, MO

The Accounting coordinator ensures that the accounting department operates smoothly and assists Project Accountants, Staff Accountant, and Controller with accounting-related matters. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with team members across departments. The ideal candidate will be crucial in supporting various accounting functions, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with established procedures.

Job Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
  • Record and classify financial transactions by established accounting principles.
  • Assisting with tax preparation, audits, and identifying and resolving discrepancies.
  • Collect W-9 and assist with 1099 processing.
  • Manage and reconcile vendor statements.
  • Set up new vendors in the accounting system.
  • Manage incoming invoices and accounting documents.
  • Monitor accounting emails and distribute incoming AP invoices to the proper team members.
  • Enter financial data into the company's accounting software, ensuring that all financial records are complete and accurate.
  • Enter credit card transaction and reconciliation.
  • Assist the team with CMiC implementation.
  • Work closely assisting Project Accountants in assembling documentation needed to submit monthly owner draws and ensure subcontractor compliance.
  • Perform other duties as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required, with some bookkeeping coursework.
  • 2-3 years of accounting-related experience, preferably in the construction industry, is required.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with CMiC or similar ERP.

  • Maneuver between floors of the office
  • Lift and move up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to reach above shoulder level for filing or gathering data and records.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.25 - $23.00 per hour
