Fun Summer Job for those seeking work in the cosmetics retail industry

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• This includes and is not limited to:
• Dress and Appearance: Arrive in a fit and safe condition with excellent personal hygiene wearing Business Professional or Business Casual attire – black slacks preferred.
• Product and sales knowledge: Daily training required.
• The wearing of the Merle Norman makeup and the ability to apply it during makeovers professionally.
• Drug, alcohol, profanity, harassment, negativity, etc. free at all times while representing Merle Norman.
• Punctuality: Be early or on time for all scheduled shifts, remember to clock in/out, and call the Owner(s) within two hours of scheduled shift for short-notice absences.
• Enter all data accurately. Become thoroughly familiar with all types of transactions: cash, check, credit card, gift certificate, split payments, coupons, discounts, returns and exchanges.
• Take pride in the Studio and participate in as many duties as possible to present a clean and professional appearance.
• Opening Duties: Opening the register, power on necessary equipment, check messages and ensure a clean/safe workplace.
• Closing Duties: Closing the register, securing funds in the safe, backing up data, cleaning, gathering the mail, taking out of the trash, locking all the doors and setting the alarm.
• Up to 30 hours per week
• Partial commission for some sales
• Participate in at least one social media post per scheduled work day.

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary, Seasonal

Pay: $12.30 per hour

Expected hours: 1 – 30 per week
