JOB SUMMARY

The Office Manager is responsible for Accounts Receivable / Accounts Payable ordering, finance control, coordinating calls to repair vendors, answering phone calls, and building upkeep. 

 
Essential Functions:

  • Develops Human Resources policies for the company regarding employee relations
  • Partners with management to communicate and monitor compliance with Human Resources policies, procedures, programs, and laws
  • Recommends employee relations practices necessary to establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promote a high level of employee morale and motivation
  • Leads investigations when employee complaints or concerns are brought forth and presents recommendations for resolution
  • Advises managers and supervisors about the steps in a progressive discipline system
  • Counsels managers on employment issues
  • Assists with the implementation of company safety and health programs
  • Complies with all existing governmental and labor legal and government reporting requirements including any related to the Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA), the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), the Department of Labor, worker compensation, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and so forth; maintains minimal company exposure to lawsuits
  • Protects the interests of employees and the company in accordance with company Human Resources policies and governmental laws and regulations
  • Assists with the development and carrying out of a company-wide process of organization development that addresses issues such as succession planning, superior workforce development, key employee retention, organization design, diversity and inclusion, and change management
  • Assists with employee communication and feedback through such avenues as company meetings, suggestion programs, employee satisfaction surveys, newsletters, employee focus groups, one-on-one meetings
  • Champion company initiatives that drive positive culture including diversity, inclusion & belonging, corporate responsibility, safety, employee wellness 

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business, or Organization Development or equivalent; plus, three to five years or more progressive leadership experience in Human Resources; or combined equivalent of education and experience in Human Resources

In addition, the person in this role will have:

  • Superior communication and facilitation skills
  • Ability to build effective relationships with clients and colleagues across the organization
  • Apply judgment to data to support business decision making
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels within the organization 
  • Results orientation with ability to proactively anticipate issues/business needs and take initiative to recommend solutions
  • Able to develop, evaluate and recommend solutions to problems 
  • Possess agility to effectively manage multiple priorities and adjust heavy workload and changing priorities
  • High degree of initiative, innovation and ability to take on projects with minimal direction
  • Advanced knowledge of employment laws and practices
  • Experience in the administration of benefits and compensation programs and other Human Resources programs
  • HRIS experience
  • Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment
  • Evidence of the practice of a high level of confidentiality
  • Excellent organizational skills

Physical Requirements:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools; talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and sit.
  • The employee must occassionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include color vision and depth perception.

Working Conditions:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be in a general office environment.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • This job may require travel less than 20%
