The Beverage Manager at our luxury hotel/restaurant is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the beverage program, ensuring a world-class guest experience that aligns with our brand. This individual will curate a wine list, develop specialty cocktails, manage beverage inventory, and ensure high-quality service standards are consistently maintained. The Beverage Manager will also manage a team of bartenders and beverage servers, providing leadership, training, and guidance to ensure excellence in every aspect of beverage service.
Responsibilities:
Develop and curate an exceptional beverage program, including a wine list, craft cocktails, and non-alcoholic options, that reflects our luxury brand and exceeds guest expectations.
Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure beverage offerings complement the food menu, enhancing the overall dining experience.
Manage beverage inventory, including ordering, receiving, and tracking, to ensure optimal stock levels, minimize waste, and maximize profitability.
Train and develop a team of bartenders and beverage servers, ensuring they deliver exceptional service and adhere to the highest standards of professionalism.
Monitor beverage sales and trends, and develop strategies to increase sales and profitability.
Implement and maintain standards for cleanliness and sanitation in beverage areas, including bar equipment and glassware, to ensure guest safety and satisfaction.
Develop and maintain relationships with beverage suppliers and vendors to ensure quality products and timely deliveries.
Create and manage beverage promotions and events to drive traffic and revenue.
Stay informed about beverage trends, industry developments, and local regulations, and incorporate this knowledge into the beverage program.
Collaborate with the marketing team to promote the beverage program and attract new customers.
Required Experience:
Proficiency in MS Office Suite, inventory, and other food and beverage management software.
Minimum 3 years of experience as Beverage or Bar Manager for fine dining/high volume environment
Strengths must include multi-tasking, problem resolution, and customer relations.
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Must be a team player with a strong work ethic.
Must be committed to upholding high standards of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 75 pounds.
Bending, stooping, standing, and kneeling.
Withstand potential climate temperature changes in assigned work area
