Status: Temporary, Hourly

Hours: 30 hours / week

As the IT Support Specialist for our luxury hotel, restaurants, and social club, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our technology systems and infrastructure. You will provide technical support to employees and guests, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and maintain network security and integrity. Additionally, you will collaborate with department heads to identify and implement technology solutions that enhance guest experiences and streamline operations across the property.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to employees and guests for hardware, software, and network-related issues, responding promptly to inquiries and requests.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve IT issues, including but not limited to computer systems, printers, POS terminals, wireless networks, and telecommunication systems.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware and software systems, ensuring compatibility, functionality, and security.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as system updates, patches, and backups, to optimize performance and prevent downtime.
  • Monitor network performance and security, identifying and addressing vulnerabilities, intrusions, and other potential risks.
  • Collaborate with department heads to assess technology needs and requirements, recommending and implementing solutions that enhance guest experiences and operational efficiency.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of technology projects and initiatives, including system upgrades, installations, and migrations.
  • Train employees on the use of technology systems and applications, providing ongoing support and guidance as needed.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of IT assets, configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in IT support and hospitality technology.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for equipment procurement, repairs, and maintenance services.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy and security regulations, implementing safeguards and protocols to protect sensitive information.
  • Provide support for special events and functions, including setup and operation of audiovisual equipment, lighting, and other technical components.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of point-of-sale (POS) systems and other hospitality-specific applications.
  • Assist in the management of IT budgets and expenses, tracking costs and expenditures related to hardware, software, and services.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
  • 2-5 years of experience in IT support, preferably in a hospitality or luxury service environment.
  • Strong technical skills in computer hardware, software, networking, and telecommunications.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and problem-solving, with the ability to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Knowledge of industry-standard IT practices, protocols, and security measures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with employees and guests at all levels.
  • Customer service-oriented mindset, with a commitment to delivering exceptional support experiences.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed to support operational requirements.
  • As the Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of food service operations within the hotel's restaurants, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and maintaining high standards of service. You will lead a team of dedicated staff, coordinate with kitchen personnel, and collaborate with other departments to deliver memorable dining experiences to our guests.
