Melt Organic is Hiring a Marketing Assistant Near Boise, ID

About the Position

Reporting directly to the Director of Marketing, this fundamental role will support several key initiatives in achieving department and Company Objectives. The Marketing Assistant must exhibit excellent communication and organizational skills to act as the central point of coordination for internal and external stakeholders, serving as a key support to the Director of Marketing. Within our entrepreneurial work setting, the position demands a high degree of commitment, and a positive can-do attitude as we all work hard to pave Melt Organic’s path forward.

Essential Functions:

(Other duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time.)

  • Facilitate and contribute to the organization for Private Label partnerships that involve but not limited to coordinating meetings, managing communications, and packaging production
  • Serve as the primary contact for all inquiries related to marketing materials, collateral, and sample requests by team members or partners
  • Ensure accuracy and currency of product data for both existing and new retail lines via item management platforms, including our food Service and North American retail accounts
  • Manage collection and organization of all Marketing campaigns and media report
  • Manage the company’s social media profiles and presence, ensuring consistent communication and brand alignment
  • Provide support in the maintenance of the company website and monthly consumer newsletter
  • Assist with all creative development projects and vendor communication
  • Assist with project timelines and communication across internal teams and external partners
  • Assist with all events and tradeshows
  • Play a supportive role in Shopper and Tactical Marketing programs through various stages, including development, launch, and post-launch activities.
  • Engage in market research and analyze category insights and trends to support brand strategies
  • Take full responsibility for customer service operations, addressing consumer inquiries promptly and effectively.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local vendors and micro-influencers
  • Develop partnerships and generate leads for events and partnerships

Position Requirements

  • In-person work environment, sharing office space with colleagues
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills using phone, email, and video calls with a customer-oriented approach
  • Excellent attention to detail in administrative, time management, and project management
  • Ability to problem solve and look for solutions
  • Ability to multi-task and communicate key priorities to meet deadlines during pressed times
  • Effective interpersonal skills and collaborative style to work cross-functionally and within team and vendors
  • Good knowledge of market research techniques and databases [not required but an advantage]
  • General knowledge of marketing tools and their functions
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
  • Experience with social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Pinterest
  • Have knowledge of Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop [not required but an advantage]
  • Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, and can identify where support is needed with a positive can-do attitude

Education & Experience:

  • BA degree [not required but an advantage]
  • 1 years’ experience in a similar role required.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate the computer and telephone along with company events and handling product samples. Specific vision abilities include close vision requirements due to computer work. Moderate noise, ability to work in a confined area, and ability to sit at a computer for an extended period are also included.
