Scandinavian Designs - Dania Furniture is Hiring a Marketing Director Near Boise, ID

The Director of Marketing will effectively manage, coordinate and lead our marketing, advertising and promotional activities to increase brand awareness and expand sales. The Director of Marketing is a pivotal role leading strategic marketing, advertising and promotions from the creation stage through to execution and results analysis This role will oversee all marketing related responsibilities for sister brands Scandinavian Designs and Dania Furniture and elevating the brand ideals of our love of modern design, quality craftsmanship and inspiring a lasting connection with our customers. This position ensures that the Scandinavian Design – Dania Furniture philosophy is expressed consistently in voice, tone and brand across materials, customer touchpoints and branding. As the leader of the marketing team, this requires strategic leadership and working collaboratively and bringing our passion for modern design and furniture into all our work while completing deliverables in a timely and professional manner. This role is at our Boise, ID headquarters and is a non-remote position.
What You Will Do
  • Manage, lead and produce inspired Marketing & Promotional calendars that coordinate seamlessly with all Merchandising, Visual Design and Showroom teams on a seasonal basis.
    • Analyze marketing efficiencies, increase organizational agility, support growth business and customer growth by monitoring, measuring, and analyzing the effectiveness of marketing initiatives and promotions with a business and customer focus.
  • Lead from creation to analysis of a variety of product promotions, advertising, branding and sales related marketing campaigns, promotions, clearance, year-round marketing calendars with strong direction and resonation to keep current customers and attract new ones.
  • Partner closely with all level of employees from Showroom Managers to Distribution Centers to Delivery Drivers to Sales Associates on product and sales promotions, product and program incentives, new product / service initiatives and special events to ensure standards consistency is in place on 50 locations as well all online and digital touchpoints.
    • Ensure all touchpoints and documents are aligned, up to date from printed in-store displays through to website and e-commerce sites and social media are consistent and on brand.
    • Handle and book all media for store promotions from direct mail, TV, Print, Outdoor, Billboards, Digital with hands-on negotiations of quotes and contracts through to impact and result analysis and marketing budgets.
  • Lead and manage internal and external content creation for graphic design, copy, website design, social media, print, product photography through to corporate functions such as company branded supplies, email templates and business cards across all mediums.
  • Oversee and maintain the annual marketing spend including accurate expense reporting working with Accounting & Finance, new vendor set-up and invoicing.
  • Drive financial recaps of monthly marketing initiatives, impact, organic and inorganic reach and continually evolve and implement strategic best practices for reaching our customers and attracting more.
  • The point person for the design and maintenance of all customer loyalty programs, customer retention, direct and eDM campaigns and celebrations.
    • Enhance and maintain the company’s customer database including email addresses and other contact details.
  • Analyze all site analytics and communicate to the executives and Buying and Merchandising what’s working and what adjustments are necessary in a proactive and open way from marketing campaigns to product naming.
  • Collaborate, lead and direct all marketing, media strategies and approaches with a customer focused approach with special insight to business growth, branding and accessibility for all touchpoints at all stages of the customer journey.
    • Act as Project Manager for product Catalogs
  • Perform other special projects or duties as needed.
Who You Are
  • Have pure enjoyment of enhancing business objectives, sales targets and organizational growth by persuasive marketing techniques and strong customer journey and customer focus.
  • Love interacting with internal and external teammates from in-store to in-office with the ability to get things done and building the brands to higher echelon.
  • 7 years marketing team direct management (print and digital) management for a high-end retailer and brand business highly appreciated.
  • Experience directing and managing creative content creation for both all medica including print and digital.
  • Enjoy exploring a variety of marketing related tasks and software from email campaigns, warranty programs to newsletter to in-store printed promotions, social media sites and Shopify and other third-party e-commerce sites appreciated.
  • Committed to mastering our products and collections to maximize the impact, sales and awareness of our company and brand names.
  • Have a reputation for accuracy and excellent follow through with results and data driven initiatives.
  • Enjoy leading and managing a team of talented marketing and partnering closely with eCommerce and web teams.
  • Proficient with computer systems, operating systems as well as tech and data savvy to implement newer programs, service and technologies inline with the business.
  • This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
  • Prolonged sitting, standing, moderate reaching and occasional lifting up to 30 lbs.
  • Occasional overtime and weekend work and travel to other locations required.
  • Our positions require successfully completing the pre-employment background check and signing a nondisclosure agreement.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Communications highly preferred or equivalent years of hands-on experience preferred. Experience managing traditional and digital marketers as well as supporting a 50 location retail business highly appreciated and not required.
