Job Summary

The Human Resources Generalist is a multi-faceted resource, carrying out all HR functions for a specific market/state. The HRG will work directly with and assist management teams to fulfill a variety of necessary HR tasks. These would include but are not limited to activity surrounding the recruiting, onboarding, training, engagement, performance, health & wellness, safety and company education of our employees.

Job Functions

  • Work directly with and report to the Market HR Director on all HR-related matters in the assigned market(s)
  • Enforce company policies in partnership with management
  • Understand Timekeeping/Payroll and Information Technology procedure and provide troubleshooting support
  • Foster a positive employee experience throughout the full employee lifecycle and possess an employee centric attitude
  • Instruct new hires on the local Agent Card/Livescan process in partnership with the HRBP and Compliance team (where applicable)
  • Partner with Corporate teams to ensure effective organization, maintenance and updates to employee HRIS information
  • Promote a culture of employee health and wellness through support of Healthcare Benefits, Worker’s Compensation, Leaves of Absence, Employee Assistance and Short Term/Long Term Disability programs and procedures in partnership with the Corporate Benefits team
  • Create and deploy training/materials/documentation as it relates to onboarding/orientation, performance management, promotions, separations, rate changes, disciplinary actions, etc.
  • Present any new or additional training materials to employees as HR policies and programs change in a meaningful way
  • Foster positive employee relations and lead the effort to solve any employee issues that surface in partnership with management, including participation in open investigations
  • Demonstrate sound judgement in fielding and evaluating employee concerns and conflict management as well as formulating solutions
  • Manage time effectively by prioritizing tasks and processes based on employee lifecycle milestones
  • Effectively balance tasks and processes with the needs of management and employees
  • Ensure all employee records and data are correctly stored and kept confidential
  • Abide by company enforced HR processes and current employment laws and regulations

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Working Conditions

This is a full-time position. Expected days and hours of work will vary. Must be willing to work evening hours and weekends as needed.

This job operates in a professional/remote office, manufacturing facility, and retail store environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Physical Requirements

Primary functions require sufficient physical ability necessary for sufficient mobility to walk and stand for prolonged periods of time. Stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist. Regularly push, pull, lift, and/or carry light to moderately heavy objects and occasionally objects over 50 pounds. Requires a sense of touch, finger dexterity, and gripping with hands and fingers. Ability to operate equipment.

Travel Requirements Some travel is expected for this position within the market and potentially out of state.
