Overview

Maverick Natural Resources is seeking a motivated and experienced Revenue Accounting Manager to join their team. Under the direction of the Assistant Controller, ensure that ongoing revenue accounting transactions are performed in an accurate, timely manner complying with all mandated regulatory requirements and timeframes. Review and posting of calculations and journal entries and account reconciliations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly close process in Enertia
• Monitor month-end closing to ensure all accounting entries are processed timely
• Review and approve monthly account reconciliations performed by the staff
• Respond to management inquiries
• Analyze sales volume and price variances
• Review and approve regulatory data and payments to state entities
• Working knowledge of regulatory regulations for state entities
• Assist with acquisitions/divestitures regarding compliance with state entities
• Review, approval and posting of journal entries created by the staff
• Compliance with internal controls
• Oversight of audit inquires
• Ensure the Company is within the requirements and regulations that govern royalty agreements
• Other special projects as identified by the Manager
• Oversee Revenue Cash Receipts staff and the cash deposit entries

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent experience
• 12 years of revenue accounting experience
• Previous supervisory/managerial experience
• Strong leadership skills
• Excel proficient
• Enertia experience preferred, not required
