Job Description: Senior Accounting Manager

The Senior Accounting Manager collaborates closely with the Development and Operations teams to ensure accurate capture and accounting of revenue recognition. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the integrity and compliance of our reporting. We are seeking a highly analytical candidate who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and possesses strong communication skills to effectively interact with cross-functional teams.

In addition to ensuring accurate financial reporting, the ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leading change management initiatives and driving process improvements. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the continuous enhancement of our accounting processes and systems.

As a key member of our the P97 Networks team, the Senior Accounting Manager is also responsible for providing strategic insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making processes. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with a proactive approach to problem-solving and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality results.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with the Operations and Development teams to build scalable revenue processes in NetSuite.
• Evaluate current revenue recognition procedures, identify areas for enhancement, and implement improvements to streamline processes and expedite the closing and reporting timelines.
• Prepare month-end journal entries and supporting schedules.
• Provide support during quarterly reviews and annual audits conducted by external auditors, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Partner with various business units in the review of client agreements to assess the revenue recognition impact.
• Analyze variances between actual results and forecasts, working closely with the Finance team to investigate discrepancies and contribute to the budgeting process.
• Complete special projects as needed.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Master’s degree or CPA license preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in revenue accounting and / or internal or external audit.
• Technical and practical knowledge of revenue recognition standards ASC 606 required.
• Strong Excel skills.
•  Experience with NetSuite preferred.
• High level of detail orientation paired with a commitment to accuracy in precision.
