Role Summary:

Results oriented, experienced sales professional calling on Quality Assurance, Food Safety, Research and Development, Consumer Insights, Marketing and C-Suite professionals of food companies to promote, sell company products and services and build long term relationships for the company with the clients in their territory. This position will entails calling on major food companies to develop new business and maintain existing clients.

What you’ll do:

  • Responsible for building annual sales plan for assigned territory and executing the plan. 
  • Responsible for overseeing and executing in lead generation activities and targeted lists for assigned territory. 
  • Travel throughout territory/region to assertively build client base for the region representing the company. 
  • Solicit future expanded business and visit regular clients and maintain business relationships. 
  • Regularly contact and maintain relationships of current clients to maintain or exceed relationship objectives.
  • Follow-up with and smoothly transition newly onboarded clients. 
  • Effectively communicate all client needs and requirements to applicable area of Operations and Customer Service to insure both areas have the necessary resources in place to successfully service the customer. 
  • Regularly check in and meet with established clients to ensure ongoing client satisfaction. 
  • Attend and exhibit at local and national industry meetings, exhibits, talks, and functions as assigned. 
  • Coordinate conversations with Customers and Prospects to Consulting or Technical departments to meet customer needs. 
  • Prepare and communicate regular reports for sales activity as required by Manager. 

 What you have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Sciences, preferably Microbiology, plus 2 years in laboratory experience (or equivalent combination)
  • Ability to distinguish colors as required for Microbiological testing. 
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a team.
  • Positive outlook with the ability to adapt to a changing environment
