What Youll Do

As the Regional Sales Manager, you will be accountable for evolving and leading your sales team. The Regional Sales Manager will support the overall Sales strategy by developing and managing teams expectations, building customer and supply relationships for long term profitable growth, identifying opportunities to optimize the profitable revenue growth, increase customer engagement and satisfaction, generating new lead engagement for targeted growth, and collaborating with leadership for potential account development.

  • Manage the success of corporate objectives by individual product line categories within specified geographical areas and within budgeted financial guidelines.

  • Monitor regional operations to ensure adherence to and implementation of corporate sales plans and policies.

  • Evaluate performance against forecast and take corrective action where necessary.

  • Build strong customer relationships to maintain existing customer accounts and acquire new customers.

  • Manage budgets and forecasts for all category products and evaluate the sales performance against targets.

  • Act as the customers central point of contact, ensuring an excellent customer experience.

  • Contacts potential customers to create sales leads and existing customers to solicit reorders of frequently ordered products.

  • Responds to escalation requests as first point of contact, evaluating the root cause, and providing a resolution.

  • Manages, evaluates, and corrects sales performance; adhering to the administered policies and procedures.

  • Provides leadership in decision making, staff development, training, and providing feedback on the effectiveness, efficiency, and relevance of the sales and promotional activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in business or a related field.

  • 5 years of sales experience

  • 2 years of sales experience within the food industry.

  • Understand food industry-specific trends and landscapes.

  • Experience in negotiating simple to complex agreements with a detailed understanding of operations, finance, and the evaluation of terms, pricing, order requirements, and service level standards.

  • Must manage project timelines, acquiring and allocating resources, ensuring quality deliverables, effective communication, and project risk management.

  • Proficient at analyzing data and developing strategies based on findings, and support change management with the organization.

  • Strong verbal, written and presentation skills required with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

  • Highly motivated, ability to prioritize and self-direct, strong business acumen and interpersonal skills.
