Marsell Wellness Center is Hiring a People Services Manager Near Ontario, CA

The People Services Manager reports to the Chief People Officer and in collaboration supervises the People Services Administrator, Talent, and Interns. The Manager is responsible for the oversight of the teams’ tactical daily operational activities and provides guidance to ensure compliance and support during employee relations and general performance management. In collaboration with the Chief People Officer, provides support to ensure strategic objectives are met and is first level of escalation for any matters that occur prior to reaching the Chief People Officer.   • Supervises and provides support to the People Services Administrator, Talent and Interns in addition, functions as first line of clarity for management and senior management in collaboration with the Chief People Officer.
  • Provides education and guidance to managers and executives on employment-related matters and decisions.
  • Oversees the recruiting efforts, ensuring that the health center complies with, reports on and measures the affirmative action plan and related Equal Employment Opportunity laws and regulations.
  • Ensures that managers are well informed of their role in the recruitment of employees.
  • Steward appropriate visibility within broader regional and functional areas for recruitment opportunities.
  • Assists in developing and maintaining up to date personnel policies and procedures, payroll processing, reports and conducts internal audits following the guidelines provided by the Chief People Officer.
  • Conducts confidential, sensitive investigations when breaches of company policy and/or local or federal law occur, ensuring efficient, ethical resolution of all violations.
  • Ensure that all training and Employee Handbook updates and other documents are signed and collected within people services technology systems.
People Services Compliance Training
  • Develops and implements training and employee education programs to ensure compliance with local and federal standards regarding sexual harassment and discrimination.
  • Develops and implements other employee and management training, which relates to People Services, as needs arise, and organization grows.
  • Periodically visits all sites and programs and ensures that staff training and support is visible.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Ensures compliance with company Compensation Policy, including reviewing salaries when a position becomes vacant and when an offer is being provided to a new candidate for employment using appropriate salary survey databases and internal data to ensure market competitiveness and internal equity.
  • Develops a salary range and matrix for each position in conjunction with the Chief People Officer and Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer.
  • Ensures that Personnel Action Form process to obtain approvals and document all title, reporting relationship, status, hours, schedule, and salary changes is appropriately completed and filed in employee records.
  • Notifies employees and payroll of changes to employee titles, job descriptions, reporting relationships, status, hours, schedule, and salary.
  • Ensures that letters documenting changes in compensation, title, work location, supervising managers and others are provided to employees and maintained in their personnel files.
  • Monitors health benefit plan design and spending to recommend changes.
  • Ensures that all benefit related deductions and payments are processed timely.

  • Reports and information are accurate for leaders to create organizational decisions.

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.     • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience working as an HR Generalist, HR Supervisor or Leader.
    • Experience conducting behavioral base interviewing and social media recruitment.
    • Certified as a Professional Human Resources or Senior preferred.
    • Ability to speak Spanish and English preferred.
    • Ability to travel as needed to various site locations.
    • Experience with Financial Budget management and reconciliation for AP/AR activities.
Education/Experience:Master's degree or equivalent; or four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Language Ability: Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Write routine reports and correspondence. Speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.Mathematical Ability: Comprehend and apply principles of advanced calculus, algebra and advanced statistical theory. Work with concepts such as limits, rings, quadratic and differential equations, and proofs of theorems.Reasoning Ability: Apply logical thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Deal with nonverbal symbolism (e.g., formulas and equations) in difficult phases. Deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.Computer Skills:Experience in Insperity and Human Capital Management System i.e. Paycom, ADP and other related systems. Supervisory Responsibilities: Manages the People Services Administrator, Talent and interns in collaboration with the Chief People Officer. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws and role specific.Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
