We are a new takeout/delivery only restaurant in downtown Salt Lake City. We are a growing business and need someone who wants to get in at the ground level. We make everything from scratch and we will teach you the art of dough making as well as a wide range of culinary skills. Kitchen experience is preferred but willing to train the right, motivated candidate. We will be moving to a new location in a few weeks with the option to add more employment hours at that time.

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Assistant Chef to join our culinary team. As an Assistant Chef, you will work closely with the Head Chef and kitchen staff to ensure the smooth operation of our restaurant's kitchen. Your role will involve assisting in preparing meals, organizing orders, assist customers, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.

Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef in preparing and cooking meals according to established recipes and standards
- Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient meal preparation
- Ensure that all food is prepared and presented in accordance with food safety guidelines
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment
- Adhere to all sanitation and safety procedures in the kitchen

Experience:
- Previous experience working in a culinary role, preferably as a Cook or Assistant Chef
- Knowledge of kitchen operations and food preparation techniques
- Familiarity with menu planning and recipe development
- Ability to handle knives and other kitchen tools safely
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
