Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chef to join our team. As a Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the kitchen, managing a team of culinary professionals, and ensuring the highest quality of food preparation and service. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food safety, restaurant management, and culinary arts.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise kitchen staff, including assigning tasks, training new employees, and ensuring adherence to food safety standards
- Plan and develop menus that are creative, diverse, and in line with customer preferences
- Oversee food preparation, cooking techniques, portion control, and presentation to ensure consistent quality
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to maintain efficient operations
- Collaborate with vendors to source high-quality ingredients and negotiate pricing
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, following sanitation guidelines
- Stay updated on industry trends and new culinary techniques to continuously improve menu offerings
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within the food service industry
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team
- Proficient in menu planning, recipe development, and cost control
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Culinary degree or certification is preferred but not required
