Job Description
Role Summary
The National Account Sales Manager is responsible for managing relationships with key retail clients, driving sales growth, negotiating contracts, implementing marketing strategies, analyzing market trends, and overseeing customer satisfaction.
Main Tasks
  • Responsible for the daily management of all accounts within the sales organization, while pursuing profitable new growth opportunities - both with existing and new customers.
  • Negotiate and manage client contracts and agreements including commercial terms, pricing and support.
  • Provide effective management of sales efforts in support of business plan targets in sales, profitability, and accounts receivables performance.
  • Conceptualize / utilize marketing initiatives and product management activities to support brand strategies and revenue development, including recommendations for promotional campaigns, merchandising strategies, retail pricing, new item introduction and programs / modular sets.
  • Perform customer line reviews to manage product lifecycle; identify and develop new business opportunities.
  • Identify and analyze customer performance and business trends utilizing syndicated data, customer portals, account profitability and category information. Must maintain detailed knowledge of both current and targeted profitability by product group and customer.
  • Responsible for development and successful implementation of innovative new business acquisition strategies within current customer base as well as targeted new customers.
  • Responsible for the accurate and timely consolidation of analysis and insight into consistent, actionable formats and the communication of the findings to the account team and customer.
  • Monitor customer order fulfillment performance.
  • Serve as the primary managerial contact for assigned customers, and ensure both the customer, as well as all appropriate supporting organizations within MANN HUMMEL, are effectively managed.
Your Profile

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or equivalent field of education
  • 5 years of relevant work experience in the mass retail or automotive (retail) industry

Required Skills:

  • Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Analytical, independent thinking and attention to detail
  • Strong project management skills and analytical skills by working in client portals
  • Creative problem-solving skills, self-starter
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills
  • Team player with the ability to effectively participate in larger groups
  • Ability to travel 25-50% (Regional / National / International)
