About the Role

Magrathea is seeking a ambitious, detail-oriented, and impact-seeking Grants Project Manager to run our major federal contracts. Our innovative talent is one of the biggest drivers in our success, and talented people don’t always fit with rigid job descriptions or day-to-day responsibilities. However, we want to be transparent about what will be expected of this role. The Government Relations Manager will be a key player in the scale-up and design of our revolutionary electrolytic process technology. 

Role Expectations

• Translate Magrathea's technical R&D project ideas into fleshed out statements of work and project narratives for government grant applications
• Serve as capture manager and majority execute grant applications while keeping a finger on the pulse of new opportunities
• Maintain and expand relationships with government representatives and government relations teams
• Project manage and majority execute government contract reporting and deliverables
• Work with Magrathea’s bookkeeping, accounting, and legal teams to manage compliance and submission of invoices to governments

Ideal Background

• MS or PhD degree with at least 3 years of experience
• Experience in applying for and performing a US federal government award
• Experience with government contract reporting and compliance
• Creative and open-minded with the ability to rapidly learn
• Demonstrated track record of working on a team to achieve audacious goals together
• History of promoting company culture based on humility, transparency, respect, and care for the success of other team members

Compensation

• Salary range: $100-$130k annually (commensurate with experience)
