LHH is Hiring a Bilingual Senior Human Resources Manager Near Chicago, IL

LHH Recruitment Solutions has partnered with a growing organization, and they are seeking a Bilingual Senior Human Resources Manager to join their team in Chicago, IL. We are seeking a highly experienced and Bilingual Human Resources Manager to lead a small HR team and drive HR initiatives in the organization. The Bilingual HR Manager will be responsible for ensuring compliance with employment laws, developing HR strategies, and fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, along with 8 years of progressive HR experience, including 3 years in a leadership capacity. Non-profit industry experience is preferred. Competitive Salary and Benefits Package (PTO, Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance) are offered.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead a small Human Resources team, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to team members.
  • Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and programs that support organizational goals and objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations, including OSHA regulations and safety systems.
  • Oversee employee relations, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance management.
  • Lead recruitment and talent acquisition efforts, including sourcing, screening, and onboarding bilingual candidates.
  • Develop and implement training and development programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
  • Maintain HR systems and databases, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of employee data.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive initiatives related to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) within the organization.
  • Handle employee inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner, demonstrating empathy and discretion.
  • Prepare and analyze HR metrics and reports to assess HR effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred but not required.
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive HR experience, including 3 years in leadership roles; nonprofit experience preferred.
  • Thorough understanding of HR principles, practices, and local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing HR strategies that support organizational goals and objectives.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong leadership abilities with a collaborative and inclusive approach.
  • Prior experience working in both union and non-union environments.
  • Knowledge of HRIS and Payroll systems and MS Office.
  • Must be able to read, speak, and write Spanish fluently.
