Job Summary:
Camillo Companies is actively seeking an experienced and skilled Estimator. This role will report directly to the Vice President of Construction & Purchasing.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Estimate new plans and elevations including all plan options.
Participate in prototype walks to verify takeoffs, building practices, feature level and material usage.
Oversee / coordinate lumber, sheetrock, millwork, brick, and roofing takeoffs.
Research / verify bid variances & correct takeoffs as needed.
Create and maintain tracking document for takeoff requests.
Create plan cutsheets – joists and rafters.
Maintain records on bids & pricing.
Maintain files with product / vendor information.
Build excellent and fair relationships with trades and vendors.
Field verify takeoffs and estimates as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Attention to detail.
Excellent time management skills, detail-orientation and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Experience with PlanSwift, On Screen Estimating, JDE and Hyphen preferred.
Education and Experience:
3 years of experience in an estimating role, preferably for a homebuilder.
Relevant college background (preferred)
