Tellepsen is looking for an Estimator.

Job Summary

This position will work closely with professionals in other areas of the construction process, including clients, architects, and vendors to craft a detailed proposal outlining the costs of a specific construction project.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Review proposal specifications and drawings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate.
• Create complete cost estimates by utilizing market input unit costs and quantity takeoff of the scope of work.
• Maintain files of working documents as back-up for estimate figures, including current (accurate) information on prices from suppliers through direct contact, sales brochures, price lists, etc.
• Support other department personnel as required may include preparing estimates in other disciplines.
• May review design options and recommend best solution based on cost, engineering quality, or availability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering.
• 2-5 years in estimating, controls and/or engineering experience.
• Advanced knowledge of estimating techniques and cost control.
