Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Accounting Manager specializing in SEC reporting to lead our finance team. The Senior Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing the accurate and timely preparation of financial statements and reports in compliance with SEC regulations. This role requires strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements, and the ability to manage complex accounting processes.

Responsibilities:

1. SEC Reporting Leadership: Lead the preparation and review of quarterly and annual financial statements (10-Qs and 10-Ks) in compliance with SEC regulations, including footnotes, MD&A, and financial statement disclosures.
2. Technical Accounting Guidance: Provide guidance on complex accounting issues and SEC reporting requirements, ensuring adherence to US GAAP and SEC regulations.
3. Team Management: Manage a team of accounting professionals responsible for SEC reporting, providing mentorship, training, and performance evaluations.
4. SOX Compliance Oversight: Oversee the maintenance and enhancement of internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR) in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) requirements.
5. Financial Analysis Support: Collaborate with financial analysis teams to analyze financial data and trends, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
6. Audit Coordination: Coordinate with external auditors during quarterly reviews and annual audits, providing documentation and support for financial statement assertions.
7. Process Improvement Initiatives: Identify opportunities to streamline and improve financial reporting processes, enhancing efficiency and accuracy.
8. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments, including Legal, Treasury, and Investor Relations, to ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial information.
9. Ad Hoc Projects: Lead special projects as needed, such as mergers and acquisitions, technical accounting research, or system implementations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA certification required.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on SEC reporting and technical accounting.
• Comprehensive knowledge of US GAAP and SEC regulations, including experience with XBRL tagging.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software; experience with Workiva and Oracle ERP is a plus.
