Position Title: Accounting Manager

Reports To: Controller

Department: Accounting

FLSA Status: Exempt

Job Summary:

Responsible for ensuring the integrity of accounting information; compliance with the Company's annual budget and financial policies; accurate payroll data for all company employees, and timely and accurate financial reports. Assists in the preparation of monthly financial statements and manages the accounting team.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and related notes in accordance with GAAP and in the conduct of the annual audit.
• Assist in the preparation and monitoring of the company's administrative and shared services budgets.
• Assist in establishing and monitoring annual budgets and providing projections of annual expenditures.
• Import and reconcile payroll expenses from the payroll system to the G/L.
• Prepares all payroll journal entries.
• Responsible for select journal entries and account reconciliations, managing the accounting team, and assisting in the preparation of the financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Statement of Cash Flows).
• Assist in the integration of new acquisitions and review of acquisition valuation reports
• Manages the accounting team including assignment of work and review.

Additional Duties & Responsibilities:

• Prepare various account reconciliations.
• Initiates and correlates projects and reports.
• Complete special tasks or projects when needed.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position will supervise the accounts payable team and general accounting.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration.
• 3 years of relevant general accounting and financial reporting experience
• CPA preferred
• Experience in Healthcare preferred
• Private Equity Experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Proficiencies:

• Advanced knowledge of computer programs, particularly Microsoft Excel
• Strong Data manipulation and reconciliation skills
• Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced, deadline intensive environment
• Must be knowledgeable in Revenue Cycle and Business Analyst skills
• Exposure to payroll processing
• Must be knowledgeable in GAAP
• Skill in operating phones, personal computer, software and other IT systems.
• Skill in oral communication
• Ability to communicate with employees, patients and other individuals in a professional and courteous manner.
• Ability to pay close attention to detail and to ensure accuracy of reports and data.

Tools & Equipment Used:

Computer and peripherals, standard and customized software applications and tools, and usual office equipment.

Physical Requirements/Working Environment:

This position works under usual office conditions. The employee is required to work at a personal computer as well as be on the phone for extended periods of time. Must be able to stand, sit, walk and occasionally climb. The incumbent must be able to work extended and flexible hours and weekends as needed. Physical demands include ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Travel:

Work may involve some driving/traveling to assigned clinics.
