Accounts Payable Specialist
Accounting & Finance – Cleveland, Ohio

We are searching for a skilled financial specialist to join our accounts payable team to help process, track, and record payments in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner. The Accounts Payable Specialist will have both a day‐to‐day and ongoing impact on financial transactions, keeping us on track, on time, and on good terms with our valued partners.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Managing the process for vendor invoices from collection through payment entry
• Interact with internal resources to ensure proper approvals are in place on all invoices
• Scanning, filing, and data entry of related invoices on a timely basis
• Reconciliation of monthly statements from vendors against payments
• Interact with outside vendors to ensure accurate invoice posting in system, reconcile short payments or credit invoices
• Assist with other Ad Hoc AP clerical duties
• Crosscheck weekly AP check runs against vendor backup for accuracy
• Assist F&A team with various documentation support as needed
• Assist with AP and Expense supporting documentation needed for audits
• Answer inquires and/or directs communications, messages, to appropriate staff
• Oversee and process day‐to‐day administrative items
• Prepares and distributes internal communications

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum 1‐2 years experience in a billing‐related role within the construction industry.
• Ability to work in a fast‐paced environment
• Understanding basic principles of finance, accounting, and bookkeeping
• Candidate must be organized with high attention to detail
• Must display time management skills
• Experience in dealing with large volumes of vendor invoices
• Ability to interact with personnel at all levels of the organization
• Strong Excel and MS Office skills required
• Strong mathematical skills
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessary
• Effective oral and written communication skills as required for the position
• Ability to be self‐motivated, proactive and an effective team player
