You will be part of the Shared Services functionResponsibilities:The Accounts Payable Manager will have the following responsibilities:• Implement, test, and approve controls in a shared service environment to ensureprocessing is carried out in accordance with GAAP, Sarbanes Oxley and companypolicy. This includes the preparation and testing of documentation in addition to thevalidation of this information.• Respond to audit requirements and issues• Oversee the issuance of disbursements which total approximately 50 million monthlytransactions, 13,000 that are manually processed for over 27,000 documents permonth• Responsible for technology enhancements and implementations that support traveland expense software and bank products• Recommend and implement “Best Practice” programs to increase productivity andbest utilize resources• Work with functional managers including Supply Management and Operations toresolve issues and improve processes• Review and approve general ledger accounts for reconciliation• Participate in vendor meetings to ensure implementation successfully aligns withcompany practices• Serve as the SAP subject matter expert and support for the group• Provide strategic direction and leadership to a team by providing managementsupport, motivation and coordinating resources to achieve objectivesQualifications:• BS/BA degree in Business or Accounting preferred and a minimum of ten years ofexperience in Accounting/Accounts Payable• Proficient in MS Office including: Excel, Word and PowerPoint; Hyperion Enterpriseand SAP a plus• Ability to work well with all levels• Must possess excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities withcompeting deadlines• Must be highly motivated; as well as have the proven ability to work independentlyand within a team; exhibiting demonstrated flexibility and openness to change• Must possess a keen attention to detail, and promote high quality standardsfor this multi-Billon dollar manufacturer.
