Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and talented Chef to join our team. As a Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our kitchen, including menu planning, food preparation, and supervising kitchen staff. The ideal candidate will have a passion for Italian food and a strong background in restaurant management.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and create menus that are innovative and appealing to our customers
- Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and standards
- Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring they adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Collaborate with the management team to develop new dishes and improve existing recipes
- Ensure that all food is prepared in a timely manner and meets quality standards
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Oversee banquet preparations for special events or large parties
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within the food industry
- Strong knowledge of menu planning, food preparation techniques, and flavor combinations
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Experience in restaurant management is preferred
- Degree or certification in culinary arts is preferred
