Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and driven Technical Salesperson to join our team for our client. This role provides an opportunity for recent graduates with degrees in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Building Science to excel in sales and technical support.
Responsibilities/Duties:
Technical Training: The client will provide comprehensive training on our products and their applications. The Technical Salesperson will quickly grasp our solutions and where they are used.
National Outreach: The role involves outreach across the United States, targeting specifying engineers.
Educational Background: Candidates must possess a degree in one of the specified fields and should also exhibit strong sales qualities, including personability, follow-through, and quick thinking.
Specification Goals: The primary objective is to influence engineers to specify the client's products in their projects. This involves educating engineers about our solutions and connecting them with the Regional Sales Manager in their territory to further promote our products and services.
Team Collaboration: The Technical Salesperson will work as part of the Business Development team, closely collaborating with the Sales Team.
Travel: While the role primarily involves remote outreach, there may be occasional travel to industry events or client meetings.
Training and Resources: The client will provide CRM, access to experienced professionals within the company, promotional materials, catalogues, and targeted presentations for various market segments.
Career Growth: This position is designed as a stepping stone, with the aim of promoting individuals to the role of Regional Sales Manager and transitioning to outside sales.
Timing of Hire: We are eager to fill this position as soon as possible to expand our outreach and impact within the markets we serve.
Qualifications/Requirements: We are looking for recent graduates with no experience to one or two years experience working in the construction or specification industry.
Skills and Competencies:
General grasp of construction methods and materials.
Must be an extroverted “people person” and a quick learner.
