Job title: Japanese Bilingual Sales Rep

Salary: $60k- $80k(DOE)

Location: Duluth, GA (or Torrance, CA)

Workstyle: Onsite

General Summary

This position is responsible for increasing sales of machinery, equipment, materials, and parts that require technical knowledge.

In addition, this position is responsible for managing sales accounts, establishing sales and marketing strategies to achieve the company's business goal, and training team staff and, if any, sales representatives/distributors.


Primary Job Functions

1) Product management

by being in charge of existing and new customers for company's products or projects ("Products"); by updating marketing and technical knowledge in relation to the Products; by supporting by conducting market research and establishing sales strategy; by creating marketing materials and advertisements including digital sales promotions tools, and lauch effecting sales promotion plans; by coordinating and attending trade shows and conferences an needed; by providing technical support to customers collaboratively with the engineering team; by soliciting orders from customers using sales skills and technical knowledge and closing deals; by negotiating commercial conditions with customers and suppliers including pricing, delivery, and other terms and conditions related to the sale of the Products; by discussing, updating and furnishing relevant commercial and legal documents including distributor agreements with suppliers; by keeping close and frequent contact with customers to obtain information necessary to create sales opportunities; by assessing financial records of customers and suppliers, and determining appropriate credit; by managing high return on investment and maximizing profit from sales; by keeping close and frequent contact with customers and equipment suppliers to build and maintain the company's reputation; by processing purchase orders and other sales documents; by arranging and managing inventory as needed; and

by having internal documentation including shipping instructions and commercial terms of orders punctual, accurate, and properly shared with necessary parties without delay. In addition, the Minutes of Meetings (MM) must be prepared and distributed in a timely manner in accordance with the company's guidelines.


2) Makes sales strategies for the Products and achieves company's goals

by making and implementing sales and marketing plans collaboratively with other sales staff, team and suppliers (subject to final approval by upper management); by studying, evaluating and analyzing the Products, competitors, market situations, and industry trends through sales activities, media research, industry events, etc; by creating and analyzing short-term to long-term sales forecasts; by collecting and analyzing feedback from staff, customers, vendors and, if any, external sales representatives and distributors ("Sales Reps") about the Products; by monitoring and evaluating each sales unit performance, delivery records, sales forecasts, status of sales activities, result of advertisements including digital promotions, and taking corrective action as needed to achieve the sales targets; and by keep upper management informed for the progress and result of sales and marketing activities.


3) Supports an operation of sales team/division.

by training sales staff and, if any, Sales Reps to meet the company's sales goals; by giving performance evaluations to necessary staff and team as needed; by communicating frequently with sales staff members and/or Sales Reps and providing feedback and guidance to achieve the sales targets; by initiating individual and/or general meetings as needed; and by proposing ideas to the team and upper management in order to improve and promote sales activities.


4) Sales promotion of entire company's product lines including new products

by conducting sales promotion for the entire company's products; by finding and introducing new sales opportunities for new products or projects; and by exchanging customer/marketing information regarding company's products including new products/projects with other sales staff, product managers, engineers and senior management, and hosting meetings as needed for such purpose; and by proposing sales promotion plan for new products and projects
