Job Description:
As the DON you'll lead our team of dedicated nurses on a mission to provide compassionate care that goes beyond expectations. You'll oversee all nursing operations, ensuring that every patient receives personalized care that honors their dignity and individuality. But here's the twist - you'll do it with a sense of adventure and a commitment to making every moment count!

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, inspire, and empower our team of hospice nurses to deliver high-quality, compassionate care that exceeds industry standards.
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure safe and effective nursing practice in accordance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
  • Foster a culture of compassion, collaboration, and continuous improvement, where every team member feels valued, supported, and motivated to make a difference.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, social workers, therapists, and spiritual counselors, to coordinate holistic care plans that address the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of patients and families.
  • Provide clinical expertise and guidance to nursing staff, ensuring adherence to evidence-based practices and standards of care.
  • Oversee quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives to monitor outcomes, identify areas for enhancement, and drive continuous quality improvement efforts.
  • Serve as a liaison between our company, patients, families, and community partners to promote positive relationships and enhance the delivery of hospice care.
  • Stay current with trends, developments, and advancements in hospice and palliative care, and incorporate innovative approaches into our nursing practice to enhance patient outcomes and experiences.

Qualifications:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) license with a minimum of 6 of clinical experience in hospice or palliative care, with 4 of progressive leadership experience.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve goals and exceed expectations.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and empathetic approach to leadership and patient care.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute plans to achieve organizational objectives and drive continuous improvement.
  • Commitment to upholding ethical standards and promoting a culture of integrity, transparency, and respect.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and a willingness to embrace new challenges and opportunities with enthusiasm and positivity.
