Knollwood is Hiring a Director, Human Resources Near Washington, DC
Knollwood is a prestigious Non-profit Continuing Care retirement facility located on 16 beautiful acres in upper Northwest Washington, DC.
SUMMARY: We are seeking a Director of Human Resources to guide, direct and have oversight of the entire spectrum of the Human Resource functions including payroll and benefits. A Director who will act as an employee Champion, and communicate proactively with management and seek to develop integrated solutions to support overall business objectives.
Essential Duties:
- Serve as advisor and oversight for personnel matters from hiring through terminations.
- Serve as Corporate Compliance Officer
- Administration of benefits including renewals, FMLA, and Short Term Disability ,
- Understanding of Payroll and related expenditures
- Prepare personnel budgets and related studies and monitor payroll budgetary compliance
- Coordinate orientation and in-service programs
- Maintain Personnel policies and procedures
- Management lead for all collective bargaining efforts
- Assure compliance with human resource related regulations
- Participate as a member of the Quality Assurance Project Improvement team
- Coordinate responses to unemployment claims
- Maintain employee records

Requirements:
- COVID vaccinated
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field
- SHRM certified preferred
- Experience with Union Bargaining
- 5 years Experience in Senior Community preferred
