Strategic HR Client Job Openings is Hiring a Director of Human Resources Near Washington, DC

CAREER OPPORTUNITY – Director of Human Resources with National Network to End Domestic Violence (NNEDV), in Washington, DC

This is a hybrid role. The right candidate will have the ability to work remotely but must be able to easily commute to the office in Washington DC when needed.

Salary Range: $120,000 - $155,000

As the Director of Human Resources, Equity, and Inclusion with NNEDV, you will work closely with the President and Executive Team to develop and implement comprehensive human capital strategies for the organization. You will plan, lead, develop, coordinate, and implement policies, processes, training, and initiatives to support the organization's human resource compliance and strategy needs. You will oversee, monitor, and develop comprehensive HR strategies, policies, and practices that create a diverse, respectful, welcoming, and inclusive work environment for all employees.

Other requirements include:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management is required and an HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, or SPHR) is preferred.
  • A minimum of 8 years' strategic Human Resources-related experience is required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in designing and implementing organizational change initiatives within the non-profit industry is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience leading organizational inclusion and equity strategy initiatives and bringing an equity lens to HR work.
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion to advance racial equity within the organization, both in interactions internally and in approaches to all organizational processes and policies.
  • Experience in multiple human resource functions including, but not limited to, employee relations, recruiting and staffing, diversity, equity, and inclusion, performance management, leadership and staff development, employee engagement, compensation, and benefits.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment and labor-related laws and regulations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Flexibility and the ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
