Human Resources Coordinator

Summary:

The HR Coordinator role provides a wide variety of Human Resources support to all levels in the organization including safety, compliance, record management, employee benefit administration, recruitment, employee relations, and Payroll. A general knowledge in all areas of human resources including recruitment, coaching and development, employment law, employee relations, career growth, performance management, and compensation is needed. This role will partner with and provide guidance to leadership to positively influence organizational performance and drive our company values.

Manage the pre-employment and onboarding processes for all new hires. Conduct investigations on employee relations matters. Investigate and respond to unemployment insurance claims, garnishments, and levies. Entering payroll information and hours for employees in the corporation.

Provide guidance to leaders and employees on applicable HR policies and processes. Respond to employee suggestions and complaints and be available to assist employees with human relations needs/questions. Employee Safety and Training.

Contribute to development and implementation of HR metrics; analyze data and provide recommendations. Participate in development and/or continuous improvement of HR processes and practices. Ensure compliance with federal and state laws and regulations as they pertain to human resources.

Administer employee benefit programs, WC, FMLA, STD/LTD, and UI. Maintain employee records in compliance with applicable legal requirements. Conduct regular audits of employee files.

Provide support to employees regarding questions/concerns relating to policies and benefits. Organize and keep track of disciplinary actions and terminations. Assist with recruiting efforts for exempt and non-exempt positions.

Provide compensation recommendations for internal promotions. Provide support for talent management initiatives.

We have about 100 employees and looking for an HR Coordinator with some experience but willing to talk to the right person. We are looking at a starting wage of about $60K depending on needs and history.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years’ experience within a Human Resources department
  • SHRM-CP or PHR Preferred, not required.
  • Strong and diplomatic verbal and writing skills.
  • Strong computer knowledge (Microsoft preferred)
  • Accurate data entry skills
  • Manufacturing Experience
