Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and be knowledgeable in various accounting software. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the accounts payable process and ensuring accurate and timely payments to vendors.

Responsibilities:

• Process accounts payable invoices and ensure accuracy of coding and approvals
• Review and reconcile vendor statements
• Prepare and process weekly check runs
• Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable transactions
• Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve any payment discrepancies
• Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable
• Collaborate with the purchasing department to resolve any invoice discrepancies or issues
• Assist with annual 1099 reporting

Skills:

• Advanced degree in accounting/finance highly preferred
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Experience with Oracle
• Experience with account reconciliation and analysis
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
• Knowledge of governmental accounting is a plus

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
