The Safety Supervisor is responsible for a specific area of the project and reports to the Project Manager.
These responsibilities are typically safety mater related to production, subcontractor oversite, material handling, daily reports, craft training, etc.
The following is a partial list of the primary tasks of the Superintendent, some of which may be delegated to jobsite personnel, but which require his or her close supervision:
1. Create AHAs/STAs with Foreman for all self-performed work.
2. Review and approve AHAs for subcontractors.
3. Create Job Specific Safety Plan.
4. Daily Safety Report.
5. Handle OSHA site visits.
6. Hurricane Preparedness.
7. Job Planning – Evaluate material handling and site utilization plans for specific areas related to safety
8. Assist in performing Utility Outage Notifications as needed.
9. Badges/security-ensure all security and badging requirement are met.
